We both like to warn other drivers that they can expect a speed trap ahead. A policeman actually called us and said he even does it when he is off duty. The question is: Can this get you in trouble?
Cops say it’s obstruction of justice. Drivers say it’s a form of expression protected by the First Amendment.
Courts in Florida, Utah, and Tennessee have all looked at cases and found that flashing your headlights is protected speech!
