My parents are horse trainers, and I grew up on a horse farm in Atlanta, Ga. Now that's hard work! My parents are horse trainers still!
I'm a huge Atlanta Braves fan and I adopted the Pittsburg Steelers as my football team when I got married. I began my radio career while attending college. My first job in radio was as a sportscaster at Auburn University. (I bleed Orange and Blue! Go Tigers!) I've been with WTQR since 1994.

World Autism Awareness Month so I feel it's my duty to help inform you! I wasn't very knowledgeable about Autism until just a few weeks ago when one of my dearest friends sent me this link and told me her granddaughter, Annabelle, has been diagnosed with Autism.
What is it?
  • Today, 1 in 150 individuals is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined.
  • It occurs in all racial, ethnic, and social groups and is four times more likely to strike boys than girls.
  • Autism impairs a person's ability to communicate and relate to others.
  •  It is also associated with rigid routines and repetitive behaviors, such as obsessively arranging objects or following very specific routines.

You may have noticed several NASCAR drivers have Autism stickers on their  cars. Elliott Sadler is a huge supporter. Larry King will do a special show tonight on CNN if you would like to learn more!

Cancer is ugly, but not unbeatable!  It is not prejudice. It affects young and old, male and female. I have lost several girl friends to Breast cancer, and even more friends to other forms of this deadly disease. I champion ever cause to help find a cure!
