(WENN) - Country star Dierks Bentley cancelled his annual children's fundraiser in Nashville, Tennessee on Sunday due to bad weather.
The singer was set to stage the "Miles and Music for Kids" event - a motorcycle ride and concert - in aid of the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, but he axed the bash at the last minute after storms hit the area.
In a statement, he writes, "We have to postpone Miles & Music today because of dangerous wind & storms moving into Nashville. It's the last thing we wanted to do but safety is the priority. HUGE thanks to all the fans, riders, sponsors & artists who always come out to support us & Vandy Childrens Hospital."
In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, he adds:
Sheryl Crow, Chris Young and Brantley Gilbert were among the acts set to perform at the special gig.
