Reba McEntire returns to the small screen Friday with her new sitcom Malibu Country. Reba stars as Reba Gallagher, a wife and mother whose world is turned upside down when she finds out her country star husband Bobby (Jeffrey Nordling) has a cheating heart. In an effort to restart her own country career, Reba relocates her family to Malibu to live in their last remaining asset, Bobby’s love nest.
Reba McEntire gave some insight into her character on Malibu Country, saying:
“My kids need to know that this is not the way a marriage is supposed to be and so I move them to L.A. out to Malibu because I found out he had a party pad that I didn’t know we owned. And so I moved us all out there to get us away from all the gossip in Nashville. I am so excited to be on ABC, back on television. We’re Friday nights 7:30 CT right after Last Man Standing with Tim Allen.”
Reba will perform the Malibu Country theme song, “Turn On The Radio” and a surprise track on Thursday’s Good Morning America. The CMA's winners for Music Video and Musical Event of the Year will also be revealed.
