In his first exclusive interview in five years, George Strait updates People Country on his next album, his final tour and his fans' dedication to him.
He says, “I’ve got great fans. Some of them have been coming out since the 80s, and that means so much to me. They have been so loyal.”
The country star also explains how blessed he feels, after being married to his wife Norma for 41 years and becoming a grandfather.
"We love each other and we still like each other," he says of the secret to their relationship's longevity. "We're so blessed that we were able to experience this life together, to support each other through everything, good times and bad," he tells People Country about his marriage.
He goes on to show his excitement of becoming a new grandfather to baby George Harvey Strait III, "He's just so special, you just have no idea until it happens."
