A continuance was requested and granted by a judge
Listen to Billy Currington on iHeartRadio
Billy Currington is getting a new day in court. The country star was scheduled to be arraigned this week in conjunction with his arrest last month in Georgia. But WJCL-TV says the hearing was postponed. Both sides requested the continuance, which the judge granted.
Currington's case stems from a dispute with Charles Harvey Ferrelle, who claims the singer started screaming at him and threatened his life when he brought customers on his tour boat past Tybee Island. Currington was indicted for allegedly making terroristic threats against Ferrelle, and was also charged with abuse of an elder person due to tour boat captain's age.
Police responded to the incident, but the singer wasn't arrested at the scene. An arrest warrant was later issued. Billy voluntarily surrendered to authorities, and was released on bond.
