She won for the 'Most Innovative Use of Scent Marketing'
Listen to Shania Twain on iHeartRadio
Shania Twain is getting some unique recognition with her Las Vegas show. The country superstar has earned a SMItty Award for the Most Innovative Use of Scent Marketing. The singer's "Shania: Still The One" is a multisensory show, and she's incorporated her own fragrance into the performance.
The scent of Twain's Still The One Day and Night perfume fills the venue, and eventually transitions into a leathery aroma associated with a saloon and then into the scent of a campfire.
Shania calls the recognition an unexpected achievement, and says putting together her Vegas show was "artistically fulfilling" for her, and getting a SMItty for her efforts is yet another level of reward she hadn't even imagined.
Shania's show was one of two nominees in the category. She got the nod over a South Korean Dunkin' Donuts bus campaign.
Twain just wrapped up her spring run of "Shania: Still The One" at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace over the weekend. She'll launch her next slate of shows in October.
