Miranda Lambert got her first guitar from her father when she was 10 -- but didn't pick it up to play it until six years later. She tells US magazine,"I didn't really want it then." But when she finally did pick it up, there was no stopping her. In just a couple of years she was voted most talented in her high school and even played at her graduation. A couple of years after that, at age 19, she came in third on Nashville Star.
The issue of US with Miranda hits newsstands on Friday.
